But the right alternative depends on why you are leaving. If the problem is cost alone, ADI Network is free. If you run four cars or more, MyDriveTime gets cheaper per head as you grow. And there are cases, below, where the honest answer is that you should stay where you are.

How to switch without losing anything
- Export before you cancel. Your data is easiest to get while the account is still live. Pull pupils, lesson history and payment records now, not after you stop paying.
- Run both for a fortnight. Start a Passly trial and put a handful of pupils through it while MyDriveTime keeps running. No card is needed and there is no contract, so nothing forces the decision early.
- Move the pupils, then the money. Import your pupil list, share the portal link so learners can see their own lessons and balances, and only switch payments across once the diary is settled.
- Cancel in writing if the terms demand it. Check the notice period. Some agreements make fees non-refundable and require written notice, so a phone call may not stop the next charge.

Can I move my pupil data out of MyDriveTime?
Check the exit terms in your contract before you cancel anything, because they vary a lot and some vendors only supply a backup on written request within a fixed window after you leave. Export whatever you can while your account is still active. Passly imports pupil lists and lets you export pupils, lessons and payments as CSV at any time, free, so you are never in this position again.
How much does switching from MyDriveTime cost?
The subscription difference is usually the small part. What matters is the fee on your lesson money and whether leads are included. Work out your annual lesson takings, multiply by each platform's payment percentage, and add any per-pupil charges. On £30,000 of lessons, the gap between a 1.5% fee and a 1.9% fee is about £120 a year, and a per-pupil marketplace charge can be several times that again.
