What we compare, and why
Four criteria, applied identically to every product on this site.
The fee on your lesson money
Usually the largest number over a year, and the one vendors are least likely to publish. We list it first, and say plainly where it is not disclosed.
Whether online booking is included
Letting pupils book from real availability is what stops the evening phone calls. Some apps hold it back for a higher tier, so we price the tier that actually has it.
Whether it brings you pupils
A diary app and a marketplace are different products. We separate apps that fill your diary from apps that only organise it.
How you get your data out
Self-serve CSV export at any time is the standard. Where a vendor only supplies a backup on written request after you leave, that is a switching cost and we say so.

Which driving instructor app is best value in the UK?
On total cost rather than headline price, Passly at £14.99 a month with a flat 1.5% fee on lesson payments and free marketplace leads. ADI Network is free and will be better value for an instructor with a full diary who only needs somewhere to keep it. GoRoadie Pro is £15 but adds a 1.9% payment fee and per-pupil marketplace charges, so its real annual cost depends heavily on your lesson volume.
How do you compare these apps?
On four things, in this order: what each takes from your lesson money, whether online booking is included or gated to a higher tier, whether the app brings you new pupils or only organises the ones you have, and how easily you can export your data and leave. How often are these comparisons updated?
Every page carries a checked date against each source, and that date is machine readable in the page's structured data as well as visible in the text. These were all last verified on 26 July 2026. Pricing in this market moves, so follow the vendor links before making a final decision.

We compare every driving instructor app a UK ADI can buy today on four criteria: the fee taken from lesson payments, whether online booking is included, whether the product supplies pupils, and how easily you can export your data and leave. Prices are taken from each vendor's own published pricing on the dates below, never from third-party listicles. Where a vendor does not publish a figure we say so rather than estimating, and where a competitor beats Passly at something we say that too.
